Oh, she’s understated and she’s fun! Adam’s Apple is a smaller space in Warrendale that is recognizable for karaoke nights on Thursdays, so get those singing pipes tuned and ready to belt. It’s also more of a chatty bar where you can hold a pleasant conversation with your crew or a friendly stranger. Both owned and operated by trans women, Adam’s Apple is well-known as a welcoming space for trans folk. But of course, all are welcome at this quaint neighborhood bar.

Diving into Detroit’s History
Detroit is a city with a long history – several hundred years extended, in fact. Detroit was founded in 1701 when the French established a fort and settlement on the site. The mention means "strait" in French, and is derived from the slim river connecting Lake St. Clair with Lake Erie, in Michigan. The British eventually gained rule of the area in 1760, and it was eventually ceded to the United States accompanying the American Revolution. For much of the 1800s it was primarily a farming and agricultural city, but in the tardy 1800s, industry and manufacturing in Detroit began booming. A number of visionary entrepreneurs, Henry Ford being one, designed automobiles in Detroit, and eventually, Detroit became known as The Motor Urban area.
